Norma Pagolla is originally from Mexico, City where she was born and raised under the traditional Mexican/Christianity culture. She attended medical school at the most prestigious college in Mexico City UNAM, her major was Psychiatry. However, Norma never worked in the medical field as she was planning to do back then. On the other hand, Miss Pagolla started her own business as a dressmaker and custom-made evening gowns and business casual garments for ladies for fifteen years in Mexico City.  As an artist from the heart, Norma practically never took formal education in the arts except for summer classes in San Carlos Academy in Mexico City where one of her teachers was acclaimed Mexican artist Rufino Tamayo who partially influenced her artistic work. In the late 1990's she moved to New York where she got married and became a homemaker (she is divorced now). In 2003 she enrolled in fashion school to learn more about the fashion business her graduation took place in 2005, the same year Norma got her USA citizenship. That year (2005) she got a job as a pattern maker, however, the fashion industry started going down so were her dreams to become the head of the design department in a fashion company. Norma started her own business as a fashion designer/costume made evening gowns and garments for ladies to support herself and as these days she still working independently. Furthermore, she went back to create visual art embracing this fascinated form of expression and be an active part of group art shows in New York City subsequently Norma had her very own solo show in 2014 and several others after that. She not only is a great and innovative painter and fashion designer she is also a photographer focusing on landscapes and animals which make good sense since Miss Pagolla is an animal rights activist and she became vegetarian in 2004, supporting several organizations who care for animals like PETA.
